yesterday, sara and i went out on a "date," lunch and a movie. we try to do it every so often and it was a lot of fun. life gets so hectic and we find that most of time is spent dealing with the "business" of life. grocery shopping. laundry. hustling on the streets for money. you know.anyway, we went to our favorite sub shop, jimmy john's. it's a chain that primarily places themselves around college campuses. the bread is amazing. then, we went to see spiderman 3. i try not to listen to reviews. i try to see movies like this either with only sara or by myself. sara's opinion doesn't usually affect mine, since we disagree on movies so often.
there were things i liked about this movie and things i disliked. it was a little on the cheesy side. i loved the dancing dark side scenes. i will not forget tobey macguire leaving the suit shop. how could you not love tobey in mascara, looking goth? i DO NOT ever want to watch tobey cry again. (sara compares it to watching john mayer sing.) it's painful. i am way more forgiving about movies than my friends are usually. i judge it usually based on how i feel leaving the movie and if i can escape into it while watching it. i think i enjoyed this movie more because of the audience's reaction, the comments, the sounds and the kids. i will own this movie (to complete the collection), but will i watch it multiple times like i've watched the other two? i'm not sure.
i'm excited about the summer movie prospects though...can't wait.
