4th story: ms eva

short story. i had a woman walk up to me and whisper, "good thing you work for brookstone, so you can meet a MAN." i turned to her and said, "i KNOW, right?!"

in an unrelated situation, i had someone interview for an assistant manager position that was vacant. she was recently divorced and thought brookstone would be the perfect place to meet men. then, she proceeds to ask, "is the store manager single?" my response, "he's MARRIED." of course, she had to be filipino. and all i could say to myself was, "YIKES!!!" obviously, she did not get the job.
it's amazing what people will assume about you. i will discuss this further in a future post called "i am not hawaiian." if i could meet brad pitt at brookstone, i would have probably kept the job. however, the best anyone that i know has done is weird al yankovic. here's my friend, vicki, trying to get him to buy the igallop. famous, smart, nice...but not brad pitt.
